Baker & McVeigh Equine Hospital

Baker and McVeigh Equine Hospital in Milnerton was established in 2002 as a sister practice to Baker and McVeigh Summerveld, before being overhauled in 2006 into the fully equipped hospital seen today. The practice provides a comprehensive ambulatory service alongside a fully equipped and accredited equine hospital, serving racehorses, thoroughbred studs, sport horses, polo ponies and leisure horses across Cape Town and the surrounding areas.

Its hospital facilities include dedicated surgical suites and on-site surgeons offering emergency colic, respiratory tract, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, along with equine reproduction procedures for stallions and mares. The practice also offers complete dental care, including routine dental work, oroscopy and advanced extractions, as well as poor performance investigations and gastroscopy.

It suits horse owners who need specialist equine veterinary care, from routine dental work to emergency surgery, in the Cape Town area.
