Bishop Lavis Secondary School

Bishop Lavis Secondary School is a public secondary school at 57 Helderberg Road in Bishop Lavis, serving learners through their full secondary school career. The school's own focus is on academic achievement combined with personal growth and community development, rather than academics alone, backed up by extracurricular activity alongside classroom teaching.

The school currently has 1,429 learners taught by 39 educators, a scale that places it among the larger secondary schools in the area, and it publishes its NSC matric results each year as part of its own reporting. It serves secondary-school learners from Bishop Lavis and the surrounding communities, offering a public school option close to home rather than requiring a longer daily commute. Families can expect a school that reports openly on its academic outcomes and positions itself around more than exam results alone.
