Clovelly Country Club

Clovelly Country Club is a golf course in the Fish Hoek, or Silvermine, Valley, dating back to 1934 and originally laid out by a designer also responsible for Royal Cape and George golf courses. The layout is routed among sand dunes with the Silvermine River and several ponds coming into play, rewarding accuracy over length on a course of moderate length but tight fairways.

One of the course's best-known holes is the par-four 4th, with a stream and out-of-bounds down the left and a pond guarding the green to sharpen the approach shot. The course has spectacular mountain views and False Bay as a backdrop, and it was reportedly a favourite of golfing great Bobby Locke.

It suits golfers who want a tight, tactical course with coastal and mountain scenery in the Cape Peninsula.
