Ocean Basket Vangate Mall

Ocean Basket Vangate Mall is a branch of the South African seafood restaurant chain, at Shop 76 in Vangate Mall on the corner of Vanguard Drive and Klipfontein Road, Athlone. It brings the chain's Mediterranean-inspired seafood to families and shoppers in Athlone and the surrounding suburbs.

The menu covers fish and chips, grilled prawns, seafood platters made for sharing and freshly made sushi, along with other dishes from the sea. Portions are generous and prices are kept affordable, so a family meal out does not have to be a special-occasion expense. The relaxed, welcoming restaurant suits a lunch break during a shopping trip, a casual supper with the children or a get-together with friends. Being inside one of Athlone's main malls makes it easy to combine a meal with other errands. Ocean Basket is at Shop 76, Vangate Mall, Athlone, Cape Town.
