The Avenue Restaurant and Grill

The Avenue Restaurant and Grill is a steakhouse and grill on Second Avenue in Harfield Village, Claremont. Its menu centres on matured steaks, hand-picked and aged for six weeks before they reach the grill, alongside seafood dishes and a full range of vegetarian and vegan alternatives, including soy steaks and plant-based burger options for diners who skip meat.

The restaurant was opened in July 2012 by a father-and-daughter team, and it occupies a building that traded as The Avenue Dairy from 1931 before becoming a restaurant, giving the space a long history on the Harfield Village strip. It remains one of the neighbourhood's established restaurants today, suited to families, regular locals and visitors who want a proper steak dinner or a meat-free alternative without leaving the same table.
