The Walden Suites

The Walden Suites is a nine-room guest house on the slopes of Lion's Head in Fresnaye, about a ten-minute walk down the hill from the Sea Point Promenade. Rooms range from sea-view suites with balconies and full views of Table Bay, the Atlantic and Robben Island, to rooms that open onto the pool terrace, and cooler, quieter mountain-view rooms at the back.

The largest suite, the Suite Balcony Sea View, sleeps two to four guests and shares its balcony with two other sea-facing rooms, making it a popular choice for honeymooners. The Suite Terrace Sea View offers a two-room layout with a lounge, open fireplace and corner sofa, while the Comfort Terrace Sea View gives direct access to the pool and garden.

Breakfast is a leisurely affair served in the courtyard from 8am to 10am, with a continental buffet, eggs and omelettes made to order, and fresh breads and pastries baked that morning. It suits couples and travellers who want a quiet, view-filled guest house close to the Sea Point Promenade.
