Tonic Design

Tonic Design is a South African interior-architectural studio in Gardens, specialising in iconic furniture editions and interior programmes for residential, retail, hospitality and corporate spaces. Every piece is individually handcrafted by master carpenters, smiths, stonemasons and upholsterers, using an unorthodox mix of materials, technical precision and traditional techniques.

Its furniture range covers seating such as sofas, armchairs, dining chairs, benches and daybeds, tables of every kind, bedroom pieces, and storage units including servers, cabinets, consoles and bookcases. The studio also offers tailored interior consultations and can customise the colour, material and dimensions of almost any design to a client's needs.

It suits designers, architects and homeowners who want bespoke, locally handcrafted furniture rather than off-the-shelf pieces.
