Walsh Fireplaces

Walsh Fireplaces, trading as Victorian Fireplaces and Cape Chimneys, is a small fireplace company in Retreat, Cape Town, that makes bespoke fireplaces. Its main focus is traditional built-in fireplaces made from firebricks and the mantelpieces around them, along with Victorian and marble mantelpieces.

The company refurbishes and repairs Victorian fireplaces and their surrounds, and makes hearths from granite, slate, marble or sandstone. Fire grates and ironmongery are made to order so that they fit each fireplace, and it also supplies chimney pots, wrought-iron grates and parts for Victorian fireplaces.

It keeps firedogs, old-fashioned grates and Victorian fireplaces in stock and has a showroom where customers can view samples. It suits homeowners who want a bespoke or period fireplace.
