Atlas Trading Company is a spice store at 104 Wale Street in Bo-Kaap, Cape Town, established in 1946. The family-owned shop sells spices, rice and rare global ingredients, and says it is Cape Town's oldest spice store.
The store specialises in Cape Malay, Indian and Thai cuisines and offers more than 150 spice blends and flavours, along with 30 unique creations that are exclusive to Atlas. Its range covers pure, natural spices that it says are carefully sourced from around the world.
The shop publishes recipes on its website and sells its products online, and it suits home cooks and professional chefs who want authentic blends for curries and fusion dishes.
