Faeeza's Home Kitchen

Faeeza's Home Kitchen is a Cape Malay cooking school and restaurant run from a home on the corner of a courtyard in the heart of Bo-Kaap, Cape Town. The hostess grew up in Bo-Kaap eating Cape Malay dishes her mother cooked, and although her mother never taught her exact recipes, she knew how they were meant to taste.

Her cooking and catering journey began 25 years ago with a sandwich kiosk at the University of Cape Town, and it has grown over the decades into the home kitchen and cooking classes run today. Guests learn to cook authentic Cape Malay dishes themselves, alongside hearing stories about the culture, the neighbourhood and the journey that led here. It suits visitors who want a hands-on cooking experience and a genuine taste of Bo-Kaap's food culture.
