Origin Coffee Roasting

Origin Coffee Roasting runs its flagship cafe at 28 Hudson Street in De Waterkant, roasting coffee from a continent it says was the first to grow and roast it. Alongside the cafe, the business operates a wholesale and roastery arm for trade customers and the African School of Coffee, previously known as Origin Academy, which runs barista and coffee courses.

The De Waterkant cafe serves from early morning on weekdays and a little later on weekends, with its kitchen closing before the cafe itself. Origin's coffee is also served at a range of other venues around the Cape and further afield in South Africa, beyond its own cafe.

It suits coffee lovers who want to visit the roastery's own cafe, train as a barista, or buy coffee wholesale for their own venue.
