The Pole Yard

The Pole Yard is a hardware store, furniture maker and wholesaler at 39 Paarden Eiland Road, part of a small group that also has branches in Retreat and Vredenburg. The store stocks a wide range of building and hardware items, including tools, nails and cable ties, alongside card payment facilities on site.

Reviewers describe the staff as helpful, with one praising the advice and assistance given to carry items to a car, and another noting that some items are well priced while a small portion are overpriced. The bathroom facilities and the generally dusty environment were mentioned as less welcoming aspects of the site.

It suits builders, hobbyists and DIY customers in Paarden Eiland who want hands-on advice alongside a wide stock of hardware and building materials.
