Cape Town to host manufacturing summit at the CTICC next month
The City of Cape Town will host a manufacturing summit at the CTICC on 11 November 2026, where it plans to outline its new Manufacturing Support Policy.
Manufacturers, investors and policymakers are being invited to a one-day Cape Town Manufacturing Summit at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on 11 November 2026. The event is a Cape Town edition linked to the national Manufacturing Indaba, and the City of Cape Town is a partner in presenting it.
At the summit the City says it will outline its new Manufacturing Support Policy. According to the City, the policy aims to strengthen the 33 industrial areas across Cape Town, back local manufacturers and create investment and job opportunities for the metro.
Discussions are slated to touch on automation, training of workers, greener production and selling to export markets. Reports on the event also say it will highlight the Western Cape's infrastructure, export-oriented industries and investment climate.
Cape Town's manufacturing base spans clothing, boat building, food and drink, car parts, electronics, medical equipment and renewable energy. Business owners in those sectors who want to attend can register through the Manufacturing Indaba website.
