Norval Foundation is an art museum and sculpture garden in the Tokai region of Cape Town, with a mission to promote modern and contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora. The museum runs a changing programme of curated exhibitions, alongside an exhibition archive of past shows and an artist editions programme.
Visitors can take a guided tour, stop at the on-site café, or hire one of the museum's featured spaces for an event. The foundation's Art For All Learning Centre runs an education programme alongside the exhibitions. A current collaboration with Cape Grace, a Fairmont-managed hotel, extends the museum's contemporary African art collection beyond its own walls and into the hotel. It suits art lovers wanting a half-day visit that combines galleries, sculpture and a sit-down meal.
